Hemington Landscape Services, Inc., a leading multi-trade contractor in the greater Sacramento area, is seeking a dedicated Project Manager to join our team. If you're passionate about landscape and construction and have a knack for managing projects from start to finish, we want to hear from you!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain construction schedules of projects under management as assigned.
- Ensure projects under management are completed at or under project budget assigned.
- Ensure productivity of construction managers on projects responsible for.
- Interface with customers to communicate progress and project level issues.
- Attend preconstruction meetings and weekly progress meetings.
- Review purchase order requests and send to project coordinator for execution as needed.
- Cookinate with construction managers to complete inspections required by city and local governments.
- Field technical questions from construction managers and troubleshoot.
- Utilize Plangrid to create field reports and tasks list for jobs under management.
- Review job site progress and schedule progress by visiting job sites daily.
- Collect T&M tags from the field to submit change orders to customers for extra work.
- Generate RFI's and submit them to the designer during the construction process.
- Cookordinate project closeout processes for jobs under management.
- Work with post construction team to get jobs into maintenance and turned over.
- Manage the preconstruction process for all projects assigned to you.
- Attend weekly operations meetings. Daily and weekly meetings with project management team.
- Manage project support staff assigned to you, ensuring they hit their individual KPIs.
Experience/Job Requirements
- Valid driver's license with favorable DMV record.
- Proficiency using Microsoft software systems such as Word and Excel.
- Ability to communicate effectively with many different people in Spanish and English.
- Strong desire to be a part of a close working supportive team.
- 5 years or more experience in commercial landscape construction.
- A willingness to learn and complete tasks as needed to support the team.
- Comfortable working with various software systems.
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
- Highly organized, willing to coach and develop others.
- Expert level skill with landscape construction plans, submittals, specs and common means and methods of landscape construction.
- Team player with the ability to contribute to a team centric culture.
