About the role

This is a hands-on leadership opportunity based in Morristown, NJ for an experienced landscape professional who can oversee and execute high-quality landscape installation projects across both residential and commercial markets.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day to day field operations for residential and commercial landscape installation projects.
  • Manage project schedules, labor planning, equipment usage, and material coordination to ensure timely completion of work.
  • Lead installation crews and subcontractors with a focus on safety, quality, efficiency, and accountability.
  • Review plans, scopes, site conditions, and production goals prior to project startup.
  • Cook jobsite logistics including deliveries, inspections, equipment needs, and subcontractor scheduling.
  • Ensure projects are installed according to contract documents, design intent, company standards, and client expectations.
  • Maintain job cost awareness and communicate cost overruns, production delays, or scope changes promptly.
  • Support project closeout, punch list completion, and turnover to client or maintenance teams as required.
  • Work closely with estimating and sales teams to support smooth project handoffs and accurate field execution.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in landscape installation, landscape construction, or related field operations.
  • 3+ years in a leadership role managing landscape installation crews, subcontractors, and active jobsites.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, production schedules, and field teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of landscape installation methods, materials, equipment, and jobsite sequencing.
  • Demonstrated ability to read plans, manage quality standards, and execute work to specifications.
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in landscape management, horticulture, construction management, or extensive allied industry experience preferred.
  • Experience in both residential and commercial landscape installation environments.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to lead crews and interact professionally with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Working knowledge of budgeting, job costing, and production tracking.
  • Bilingual communication skills are a plus.
