Landscape Construction Foreman

About the role

We are a growing Landscape Construction & Excavation Company located in Acton, MA seeking a motivated individual with experience as a Landscape Construction Foreman.

Responsibilities

• Site work preparation to include, excavation, grading, drainage, and utilities installation
• Hardscape construction to include, walls, walkways, steps, terraces, fireplaces, outdoor kitchens, water features, driveways, etc.
• Landscape installation to include, planting, lawn installation, low-voltage landscape lighting, and irrigation systems

Requirements

• Thorough understanding of plant species identification and knowledge of plant varieties
• Thorough understanding of machine operation, to include skid steer, mini-excavator, and larger machinery
• Strong leadership skills
• Able to communicate effectively with sub-contractors, clients, architects, and management
• Organizational skills are also required, as the foreman is responsible for filling out and keeping track of daily foreman logs, job sheets, and timecards
• Ability to keep crews on task and manage production, while still maintaining a high level of quality work is essential

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and 5 years of experience
• Valid driver’s license
• Hoisting License 2A/1C
• DOT Certificate (acquired within one month after date of hire)
