Job Responsibilities
- Generate new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, referrals, and cold outreach focused on landscape installation and construction projects
- Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of installation opportunities outside the existing maintenance book of business
- Create customized proposals and presentations that address client needs and highlight company value
- Negotiate and close contracts in alignment with company pricing standards and profitability goals
- Build strong, long-term relationships with property managers, developers, general contractors, and key decision makers
- Serve as primary point of contact during the sales cycle and ensure smooth transition to operations post-sale
- Collaborate with estimating, operations, and project management teams on accurate proposals and service delivery
- Review large-scale opportunities ($1M+) with senior leadership; collaborate with Branch and Enhancement Manager on opportunities up to $1M
- Stay current on local market conditions, competitor activity, and industry trends
- Represent the company at trade associations, networking events, and community engagements
- Maintain accurate pipeline records and sales activity in Salesforce CRM
- Work with branch and senior leadership to set annual sales goals, budgets, and strategy
Requirements
- 3–5 years of proven B2B outside sales success — construction, landscape installation, project management, property management, facility management, or related service industries required
- Project management or construction industry background strongly preferred
- Strong sales, negotiation, and presentation skills with a track record of closing commercial contracts
- Proficiency in Salesforce or equivalent CRM and Microsoft Office Suite
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable working independently in a field-based role
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, or related field preferred — equivalent work experience accepted
