Description
The Harvard Graduate School of Design seeks an Assistant/Associate Professor in Landscape Architecture. The position focuses on design and is open to candidates with expertise in material culture, climate, design innovation, geography, design culture, urbanization, and environment. The successful candidate will contribute to shaping contemporary debates on changing climates and equitable resource distribution.
Basic Qualifications
- A recognized record of distinguished accomplishment in landscape architecture academic and/or professional endeavors.
- A graduate degree in landscape architecture, though candidates with a related design field are also considered.
- A doctoral degree is desirable but not required.
Additional Qualifications
Special Instructions:
- The appointment is anticipated to start in the fall of 2025.
- We will review applications on a rolling basis beginning in September 2024.
Submission Process
- Candidates should upload:
- A letter of interest describing qualifications and research/pedagogical focus.
- A current CV.
- Selected material from their portfolio (up to 25MB).
- Contact information for a minimum of three references.
Subsequent Submission
- Candidates advancing in the selection process will be asked to provide:
- A full portfolio.
- A statement of teaching philosophy and design/research interests (750 words maximum).
- A statement addressing how they have demonstrated their approach to pedagogy and mentoring for a diverse student cohort.
