Landscape Architect/Designer (8+ years)

About the role

The ideal candidate for this position is a strategic thinker, self-starter, and works well in a team environment. Responsibilities include all aspects of design, production of construction documents and project management.

Responsibilities

• Designing and producing construction documents for various projects
• Leading the A/E design team from the onset of a project through construction
• Maintaining design integrity as a project moves from concept design through construction documentation
• Communicating design intent by hand sketching early in the process and quickly converting sketches into a digital format
• Managing project milestones and deliverables, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget
• Coordinating with cross-functional teams and external consultants to ensure design specifications and quality standards are consistently met

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit and the Adobe Creative Suite
• Experience with landscape and site design projects
• Experience with project management and leading stakeholder engagement
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Qualifications

• Registered as a PLA (desirable)
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience with landscape and site design projects
• Innovative thinking and leadership skills
• Ability to communicate design intent effectively
• Strong communication skills; combined hand drawing, written and verbal
• The ability to maintain flexibility within a large scope of responsibilities
• The ability to take direction and work independently while staying highly organized
