Landfill Scale Operator, Gator

About the role

A Scale Operator at Waste Pro is responsible for weighing trucks, entering data, generating bills of sale, handling payments, and interfacing with company personnel and outside haulers.

Responsibilities

• Operates the weight station scale
• Greets and assists the public in a friendly manner, providing quality customer service
• Enters information into computer program on a daily basis (price, product, weight, customer name, etc.)
• Prepares daily deposit and balances cash drawer
• Answers phone and checks mail
• Prepares customer charge account invoices for billing
• Receives, annotates, and processes payments
• Prepares monthly and yearly reports as requested
• Maintains a clean, safe environment in the scale office
• Performs related duties as directed
