About the role

The City of Little Rock seeks a Landfill Operator II to operate a variety of heavy equipment in the preparation and maintenance of landfill space, roads, and other dirt or material work at the City Landfill.

Requirements

• Minimum Qualifications: One (1) year of service in the position of Landfill Operator A with the City, and one (1) year of lead worker experience.
• Additional Requirements: Must possess Arkansas Division of Environmental Quality (DEQ) Level B Landfill Operator's license before employment and a Class 2B license after one (1) year of employment and must be maintained for the duration of employment in this position.
• Must possess a valid Arkansas Class B (Commercial Vehicle) Driver's License before employment and maintain licensure for duration of employment in this position.

Qualifications

• Experience: At least one (1) year of experience as a Landfill Operator A with the City of Little Rock, OR one (1) year of lead worker experience in a related area.
• Licenses: Valid Arkansas Class B (Commercial Vehicle) Driver’s License and Arkansas Division of Environmental Quality (DEQ) Level B Landfill Operator’s License before employment, and a Class 2B License within one (1) year of employment.

• Longevity Pay: $4.00 for each year of service up to and including the fifth (5th) year, $7.00 per year for the sixth (6th) year of service and each additional year thereafter.

Pay

$40,019.20 - $56,201.60 Annually
