About the Role
- Assist with field surveys across multiple project types, including boundary, topographic, and construction surveys
- Support data reduction, digital terrain modeling, and surface creation
- Prepare right-of-way plats, certified survey maps, boundary surveys, and other survey-related documents
- Assist with drafting and survey computations
- Collaborate with project teams while maintaining the ability to work independently in the field
- Travel as needed to support project demands

Requirements
- Willingness and ability to work overtime as project schedules require
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
- Ability to walk and climb over rough terrain and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work outdoors for 8–12 hours in varying weather conditions
- Ability to travel for projects, meetings, and overnight stays as needed
Qualifications
Essential
This position requires an MVR records check verifying that you possess a valid driver’s license and a driving record which meets the requirements of SEH’s Driving Program.
Preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with basic surveying procedures, including:
- Boundary and land surveys
- Topographic surveys
- Construction staking methods using Total Stations and GPS
- Experience with drafting, survey computations, and interpreting plans and easement descriptions
- Field experience using Trimble survey equipment
- Working knowledge of:
- AutoCAD
- Trimble Business Center
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
Pay
Base compensation is expected to be in the range of $95,000 and $130,000 based on skill set and experience.
