Land Surveyor

About the role

The successful candidate will be working in the land surveying group of a client who values extensive experience with MicroStation and GeoPak software.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects related to land surveying
• Utilize MicroStation and GeoPak software
• Collaborate with other professionals in geomatics specialties such as survey, SUE, GIS, photogrammetry, etc.
• Complete advanced utility locator training courses
• Hold a professional land survey license or equivalent certification
• Pass a drug test and a driving record check
• Be physically capable of working outdoors and on construction sites in various weather conditions
• Willing and able to work overtime and travel for extended periods

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline
• Preferred 10+ years of technical experience in a geomatics specialty
• Completed Advanced Utility Locator Training Course
• Professional Land Survey License (PLS) or industry recognized certification equivalent
• Project Management Professional certification (PMP)
• Valid driver’s license

Skills

• MicroStation and GeoPak software proficiency
• Geomatics specialties knowledge (survey, SUE, GIS, photogrammetry, etc.)
• Utility locator training completion
• Land surveying license or equivalent certification
• Project management skills
• Physical stamina and adaptability to outdoor and construction site conditions
