Land Survey Leader
About the role
The Charlotte Office Leader is responsible for the management and growth of the Central North Carolina office. This role is critical to advancing the day-to-day performance of the office while building client relationships, securing new work, and strengthening SAM's presence in the region.
Responsibilities
- Grow the SAM office in Charlotte, NC.
- Build a book of business in Central North Carolina.
- Act as a key point of contact for clients, both existing and prospective, ensuring exceptional service, communication, and long-term relationships.
- Collaborate with area leaders and project managers to execute a growth strategy tailored to the local markets.
- Pursue new market opportunities, respond to proposals, and help drive year-over-year revenue growth.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team across the Survey, SUE, Utility Coordination, and Fiber Engineering service lines, including technicians and licensed professionals.
- Maintain project performance, QA/QC, client satisfaction, and safety standards, ensuring operational excellence.
Requirements
A Professional Survey License or Engineering License is preferred but not required. Professional experience in the land survey or geospatial industry, with a focus on project management and leadership, is required. A track record of winning and managing major projects is essential. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary, along with the ability to present to clients and stakeholders.

Pay
Salary Range: USD $130,000.00 - USD $165,000.00 per year
