Land Survey - Assistant Project Manager

Responsibilities

Aid in training and management of survey field crews, CAD Drafters, Survey Technicians and support staff.

Communicate effectively across all teams and business units.

Assist in the financial management of survey projects, including contract preparation, billing reports, invoicing and collections.

Perform boundary analysis and computations of ALTA, topographic, utility and roadway surveys utilizing Civil 3D and other industry standard software.

Provide construction stakeout services including field setup and quality control of construction stakeout projects.

Ensure quality control of all survey documents, including survey plans, record plots, metes and bounds descriptions, and review of title commitment reports. Include peer review of other office project teams' deliverables.

Support client meetings, conference calls, and coordination efforts.

Contribute to business development by identifying potential new clients, attending marketing events/conferences, and maintaining existing client relationships.

Manage project workflow, staffing, and deadlines under the supervision of a project manager.

Requirements

Minimum of 8 years of experience in surveying field with 2-3 years of management experience.

Bachelor's Degree preferred, SIT (Surveyor in Training) even better!

Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Ability to relate to clients and people at all levels of the organization.

Ability to successfully manage tight deadlines and multitask.

Excellent communication, diplomacy, and listening skills; specifically, be accessible and responsive to the needs of clients.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret drawings and the most complex documents.

Strong computer skills.

Attend internal and external events and functions.

Qualifications

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Light to moderate lifting may be required.

Benefits

Pay Range: $80,000-$105,000+ per year depending on experience.
