Land Survey - Assistant Project Manager

Essential Functions

• Assist in training and management of survey field crews, CAD Drafters, Survey Technicians and support staff.
• Communicate effectively across all teams and business units.
• Aid in the financial management of survey projects, including contract preparation, billing reports, invoicing and collections.
• Analyze and compute boundaries for ALTA, topographic, utility and roadway surveys using Civil 3D and other industry-standard software.
• Provide construction stakeout services, including field setup and quality control of construction stakeout projects.
• Ensure quality control of all survey documents, including survey plans, record plots, metes and bounds descriptions, and review title commitment reports. Peer review of other office project teams' deliverables.
• Participate in client meetings, conference calls, and coordination activities.
• Engage in business development by identifying potential new clients, attending marketing events/conferences, and maintaining existing client relationships.
• Prepare contracts and assist with overall daily management of project workflow, staffing, and deadlines under the supervision of a project manager.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in surveying field with 2-3 years of management experience.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred, SIT (Surveyor in Training) even better!
• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Excellent communication, diplomacy, and listening skills; accessible and responsive to client needs.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents.
• Strong computer skills.
• Attend internal and external events and functions.
