About the Role

As a Land Representative Sr., you will be accountable for the protection, acquisition, and negotiation of land and property rights for pipelines and facilities construction while collaborating with company partners. You may lead teams or projects and will provide excellent customer service to resolve sophisticated problems that improve performance, efficiency, and safety. The ability to influence others, communicate, and connect with all levels of the organization are keys to success.

Responsibilities

  • Negotiate, acquire, and manage land and property rights for pipelines and facilities.
  • Craft budgets for growth capital and maintenance projects.
  • Mentor other land team members or contract support.
  • Collaborate with legal counsel to develop, coordinate, and maintain land-related contracts, write and approve legal descriptions, and create and maintain other legal documents.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures.
  • Represent the company in public hearings, meetings, and other external events.
  • Supervise and support large-scale maintenance, operations, relocation, and abandonment projects.
  • Analyze real estate developments and transactions; provide input and execution strategies.
  • Provide guidance to Land Representative I and II personnel; develop and implement internal land/right-of-way policies and procedures; monitor land/right-of-way activities throughout the business unit.
  • Update land/right-of-way database with necessary documentation or personally ensure updates.
  • Meet with property owners to review project plans and explain appraisals.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in the oil and gas industry, land, real estate, or legal fields.
  • Demonstrated excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, with safety as the utmost priority.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and PC skills.
  • Validated negotiation skills.

Qualifications (Preferred)

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field.
  • Senior Right of Way Professional certification.
