About the role
As a Land Development Engineering Intern, you will work alongside project engineers on the development and production of projects from initial concept through construction administration. From large-scale residential developments to mixed-use commercial complexes and educational facilities, our diverse portfolio allows for accelerated learning and provides well-rounded experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development of engineering solutions for land development projects through the application of Local, State and Federal design standards and regulations
- Assist in all aspects of the design effort, including:
- Rezoning & Entitlement Applications
- Preliminary Plans
- Site & Subdivision Plans
- Open and closed storm drainage systems, including stormwater management
- Water and Sanitary Sewer system design
- Compliance with zoning ordinances, proffers, and applicable facility standards
- Erosion and sediment control plans and design E&S control measures in accordance with state criteria
- Design and create technical documents in AutoCAD using Carlson Design software
Requirements
- Enrolled in a Bachelor of Science Civil Engineering (or equivalent) curriculum at an ABET accredited university
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Enthusiasm for team collaboration
