Land Development Engineering Intern

About the role

As a Land Development Engineering Intern, you will work alongside project engineers on the development and production of projects from initial concept through construction administration. From large-scale residential developments to mixed-use commercial complexes and educational facilities, our diverse portfolio allows for accelerated learning and provides well-rounded experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development of engineering solutions for land development projects through the application of Local, State and Federal design standards and regulations
• Assist in all aspects of the design effort, including:
  • Rezoning & Entitlement Applications
  • Preliminary Plans
  • Site & Subdivision Plans
  • Open and closed storm drainage systems, including stormwater management
  • Water and Sanitary Sewer system design
  • Compliance with zoning ordinances, proffers, and applicable facility standards
  • Erosion and sediment control plans and design E&S control measures in accordance with state criteria
• Design and create technical documents in AutoCAD using Carlson Design software

Requirements

• Enrolled in a Bachelor of Science Civil Engineering (or equivalent) curriculum at an ABET accredited university
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Enthusiasm for team collaboration
