Job Summary
Key Responsibilities
- Design and oversee site development plans, including grading, drainage, utilities, and roadway infrastructure.
- Conduct feasibility studies and analyze environmental impact for land development projects.
- Prepare and review engineering drawings, reports, and specifications in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Cook up coordination with municipal agencies, contractors, and developers to ensure project approvals and compliance.
- Perform stormwater management analysis and design erosion control measures.
- Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and other engineering software for site design and modeling.
- Aid in permitting processes, including zoning, land use, and environmental regulations.
- Provide technical guidance and support during construction phases, ensuring adherence to engineering standards.
- Collaborate with surveyors, architects, and planners to optimize land use and infrastructure efficiency.
- Conduct cost estimation and budgeting for land development projects.
Must-Have
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- 3-7 years of experience in land development engineering.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other engineering design tools.
- Strong knowledge of stormwater management, grading, and utility design.
- Experience with zoning regulations, permitting, and environmental compliance.
- Excellent problem-solving and project management skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities with stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
- Experience in residential, commercial, or industrial land development projects.
- Familiarity with GIS mapping and hydrology modeling software.
- Knowledge of local and federal land use regulations.
