Responsibilities
- Provide engineering and design of land development and utility projects.
- Cookordinate work with project managers, engineers, and designers.
- Remain familiar with the review procedures and permitting processes of state and local public entities.
- Utilize CAD software (either AutoCAD/Land Development Desktop or MicroStation/GeoPak) to prepare drawings.
- Correspond with clients and permit reviewers (written and verbal) under the direction of the Project Manager.
- Ensure quality control procedures are implemented.
- Complete project tasks within deadlines and work within allotted project budgets.
Qualifications
- BS degree in Civil Engineering
- 0 to 4 years of civil/site related work experience
- Passed the FE Exam
- EI certification a plus
- Basic Microsoft Office skills
- Knowledge of MicroStation/GeoPak or AutoCAD/Land Development Desktop a plus
- Must be willing to travel on occasion
- Must possess or be able to obtain a valid driver’s license prior to employment-preferred
Work environment and physical demands
- Work will primarily be in the office setting with limited opportunities to be exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
- Work will be primarily working with fingers by picking, pinching, typing, and grasping often with repetitive motion.
- Must have visual acuity for viewing a computer screen, the ability to talk, hear and sit for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to carry, lift and push/pull up to 20 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
