Responsibilities
- Aid in preparing effective work plans and man-hour budgets for supervisor approval.
- Monitor time schedules and capital cost budgets on projects to meet client requirements.
- Supervise the work and productivity on assigned projects.
- Strive to achieve predetermined goals for profit, productivity, and schedule of deliverables.
- Participate in or lead team meetings to ensure procedures for project reviews and approvals are followed.
- Negotiate scope changes with clients regarding project budgets and schedules with supervisor approval.
- Ensure all project work adheres to quality assurance and quality control standards, systems, and procedures.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with all employees involved in the project to maximize utilization rates.
- Review monthly man-hour and cost reports to ensure projects are completed according to pre-established goals.
- Mentor junior staff in learning sound technical and business practices and enhancing corporate objectives.
- Prepare for public hearings, meetings, and other presentations related to projects.
- Authorize and transmit bills to clients through the Billing Department.
- Follow up with clients for timely payments.
- Follow health and safety program and all applicable standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Oversight of assigned staff, including timesheet review and approval, performance evaluations, and daily supervision.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- At least 8 years of Land Development Design experience.
- Experience in Residential, Commercial, and Industrial sectors.
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification preferred.
- Knowledge of local land use processes and regulations.
- Proficiency in technical skills such as stormwater management, hydraulics, hydrological analyses, grading, and site development designs.
- Demonstrated Civil 3D skills for designing site layouts from concept to completion.
- Ability to interact well with coworkers, clients, and regulatory agencies.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent analytical and judgment capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Construction oversight experience a plus.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English for job-related communications and interactions.
