Lamination Machine Operator - 3rd Shift

Atlas Molded Products is seeking a Lamination Associate for the 3rd shift at the Byron Center, MI facility.

Responsibilities

• Report to Manager at shift start for direction for the day.
• Understand manufacturing processes, quality standards, equipment operations, safety requirements, and departmental procedures.
• Inspect and package parts according to specification pages and record required information on in-process sheets.
• Cut, bundle, wrap, stack, pack, assemble, and/or label materials per specific production instructions.
• Operate or assist with machinery such as the laminator, embosser, routers, and wrapping equipment.
• Verify equipment set-up throughout the process; operate and power down manufacturing equipment.
• Maintain productivity standards and verify all job requirements of the final products with the correct density, material, weight, size, and shape within given quality tolerance.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Operate Pre-breakers / Re-Grinding equipment to recycle EPS.
• Perform any other functions and responsibilities as assigned.
• Adhere to general safety and Quality System Awareness requirements.
• Complete procedure training and sign-off within 2 months of hire.
• Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance is required.

Requirements

• Prior experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment is helpful.
• Problem-solving and critical thinking skills desired (minimal required).
• Fluent in English (written and spoken) preferred.
• Able to use simple math, count, and use basic hand-held measuring tools.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
