About the role
Lakeshore Community Services offers a “Baylor‑style” program for selected Direct Support Professional (DSP) employees who agree to work two 14‑hour shifts per week (a 28‑hour workweek) in exchange for a 37.50‑hour pay week. Participants receive a specialized pay incentive while retaining all benefits afforded to other full‑time employees, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 403(b) participation and the ability to opt into other extended and optional benefit programs. Benefit time accrues on a part‑time employee schedule. Because the program compensates for full‑time pay while working only 28 hours, applicants undergo an intense screening process; only those with a strong work and attendance record should be considered.
Responsibilities
Direct Support Professional staff function as members of teams responsible for the direct care and instruction of individuals living in community residential homes, adhering to state, federal and agency guidelines. They contribute to creating a safe, healthy emotional and physical environment for those individuals.
Qualifications
- Minimum age 18 years
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid and current driver’s license
- Eligibility for criminal background checks and child abuse history clearances

Pay
- Base rate: $19.02 per hour
- Sign‑on bonus: potential to earn up to $2,700 in the first two years
