Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist with the daily supervision of the Security team and any other assigned departments
- Lead by example, attitude, and as a representation of Lake Compounce’s core values
- Act as an approachable mentor and coach to all assigned hosts
- Become knowledgeable of performing the essential duties of all security positions and backfill these positions when needed
- Ensure that all required meal and other breaks are being given in accordance with Connecticut law
- Assist with team scheduling and timekeeping activities
Departmental Duties
- Secure premises and personnel by patrolling property
- Inspect buildings, equipment, and access points
- Perform access control and personal property inspections at park entrance and exits, when needed
- Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities
- Patrol Park grounds and parking lots
- Aid the attendants with traffic duties as needed
- Enforce the parking lot rules and regulations
- Aid the attendants with traffic duties as needed
- Enforce the Park rules and regulations
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age to comply with Connecticut Child Labor Laws
- Must be able to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be able to fill in for third shift (overnight) if the park security operates on a 24-hour schedule
- Must have reliable transportation to and from your scheduled shift
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and a good driving record
- Must be able to safely and efficiently operate motorized vehicles and equipment
- Must possess exceptional customer service skills, with an ability to resolve questions, problems, issues, and concerns in a positive and professional manner
- Must possess exceptional physical abilities, including standing, walking, and remaining on feet for majority of the workday
- Must have good visual acuity, night vision, and peripheral vision
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and remain on feet for majority of the workday
- Occasionally stoop, twist, kneel, bend, squat, or reach above shoulders
- Walk, stand, or run on uphill, downhill, or uneven surfaces
- Remain sedentary for extended periods of time, while using a computer/camera equipment
- Carry, push, pull, lift, and hold objects weighing 30 pounds or more
