Responsibilities

The Lactoferrin Operator has the responsibility for running all equipment in the lactoferrin production area.

Requirements

• Communicate (written and verbal) with all departmental operators to efficiently manage the process and production schedules.
• Report any issues to a shift lead/supervisor/manager in a timely manner.
• Multitask and trouble shoot, assisting Maintenance when needed.
• Pull liquid samples, analyze samples, and use analysis for adjusting operation parameters.
• Monitor, plan and track all incoming product for production runs.
• Check Production Samples for all required parameters and document this information on the required paperwork.
• Trace product lines and track the locations of all products being transferred.
• Maintain all Lactoferrin equipment assuring that all product specifications meet specified parameters.
• Maintain proper documentation.
• Monitor all Lactoferrin equipment for leaking gaskets, airlines, pump seals and any other operation deficiencies and report immediately to maintenance/shift lead/supervisor/manager.
• Operate all cleaning and production equipment within the Lactoferrin Plant.
• Keep work area in a neat and clean condition.

Physical Demands/Working Conditions

Light Heavy Work- Lifting 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 30 pounds. Production- Exposure to manufacturing environment. Require frequent moving and climbing. Frequent exertion of light to moderate physical effort. Exposure to noise, odor, dust, and discharge from production process.

Pay and Schedule

Pay: $24.00 USD per hour with an additional $1.00 per hour for the shift premium. Shift: Nights, 6PM-6AM with every other weekend off.
