Lactation Specialist

About the role

The Lactation Specialist will serve as a role model, consultant, change agent, instructor, and facilitator in assessing learning needs and meeting the needs of nursing mothers and nursing staff related to lactation and breastfeeding.

Responsibilities

• Represents Lactation Services at Saint Luke's in providing education to the community as requested.
• Promotes and supports the professional practice environment, maximum performance, and quality patient care.

Requirements

• Applicable Experience: Less than 1 year
• Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross
• International Board Certified Lactation Consultant - International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners
• Associate Degree
