About the role
CommuniCare+OLE Health Centers is a Federally Qualified Health Center providing comprehensive, patient-centered perinatal, primary care services including medical, dental, substance abuse treatment, behavioral health, and outreach services to low income, multicultural, uninsured, and underinsured patients in Yolo County and the surrounding community.
Responsibilities
- Works as part of a multidisciplinary team including community health workers, nutritionists, social workers, physicians, midwives, and other staff.
- Provides comprehensive care, including medical, dental, substance abuse treatment, behavioral health, and outreach services to low income, multicultural, uninsured, and underinsured patients in Yolo County and the surrounding community.
- Operates all equipment used in Clinic sites and in hospital practice.
- Performs lactation counseling and staff mentoring.
- Manages priorities and workflow, multitasking and managing independence.
- Deals effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels and with external customers.
Requirements
- Current status as an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).
- Minimum of one-year IBCLC experience.
- Demonstrated commitment to comprehensive care for underserved communities.
- Bilingual Spanish preferred.
- Ability to operate all equipment used in Clinic sites and in hospital practice.
- Demonstrated ability to adequately perform lactation counseling skills and staff mentoring.
- Drivers License Required.
Qualifications
- Education: Current status as an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).
Skills
- Excellent written and oral skills.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Able to work independently with little or no supervision.
- Willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm and have acute attention to detail.
