Lactation Consultant Registered Nurse RN PRN

Job Summary

The Mother Baby Unit at Henrico Doctors' Hospital is a new state-of-the-art facility with 35 private rooms designed for family-centered recovery. As a Lactation Consultant, you will participate in educational activities to maintain competence and gain new knowledge, and provide consultation for simple and complex breastfeeding management situations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred)
• Current Registered Nurse license in Virginia or a compact license
• Current Certification by the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners (IBLCE)
• Minimum 2 years of experience working with childbearing families or maternal health nursing, with emphasis on lactation
