Lactation Consultant - Neonatal ICU, Part Time Weekend Option

St. Louis Children’s Hospital is nationally renowned for its exceptional newborn care, combining leading medical practices with a commitment to caring for the whole family. Part time, Weekend Option 12 Hour Shifts, Saturdays & Sundays. Hours will be Day or Evening Hours. Benefit Eligible.
Responsibilities
- Maintains patient safety and quality of care by monitoring patients' responses and modifying the plan of care accordingly.
- Utilizes the nursing process to plan, direct, and provide breastfeeding teaching and support.
- Serves as a resource for the department regarding lactation education and information.
- Identifies patient and family education needs and coordinates appropriate educational resources.
- Provides accurate documentation as required.
Minimum Requirements
- Nursing Diploma/Associate's Degree
- No Supervisory Experience Required
- RN License
- Preferred: IBCLC Certification
Preferred Requirements
- Experience with breastfeeding mothers & infants
- Breastfeeding education and/or certification
