About the Role

  • Lead and deliver structured coaching sessions for all club members, ensuring an inclusive and supportive environment.
  • Work closely with club captains and committee members to support the club's objectives and development.
  • Encourage participation, progression and enjoyment across all levels of play.
  • Act as a professional role model and ambassador for sportCHESTER.
  • Maintain regular communication with the Sport Development Team.
  • Adhere to the sportCHESTER Coaches' Code of Conduct and complete all required safeguarding and DBS checks.

Requirements

  • A minimum Foundation/Level 1 coaching qualification in Lacrosse.
  • Safeguarding and Protecting Children in Sport certification.
  • Knowledge and understanding of lacrosse coaching and player development.
  • Experience of working with young adults.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong motivational and organisational skills.
  • The ability to plan and deliver engaging coaching sessions that meet the needs of participants.
  • The ability to work independently and use initiative.

Qualifications

  • First Aid qualification (desirable).
  • Experience of playing or competing in lacrosse at club level or above (desirable).
