About the role

The LaCrosse Coach, Head Varsity Boys program seeks an experienced and passionate coach to lead the boys' varsity basketball team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong track record in coaching and mentoring young athletes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive training program that enhances the skills and performance of the team.
• Manage team logistics including scheduling practices, games, and travel arrangements.
• Mentor and develop players, focusing on both athletic and personal growth.
• Collaborate with other coaches and staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive team environment.
• Attend all team meetings and communicate regularly with parents and guardians.

Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of successful coaching experience at the high school level.
• A bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Proven ability to motivate and inspire young athletes.
• Experience with youth development and positive reinforcement techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of the game of basketball and its rules.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Passion for youth sports and a commitment to the success of the team.
