Position Type: Internship (~20 hr/wk, minimum 6-month engagement)
Desired Education: Students enrolled in Bachelor or Master of Science programs; UCF students are welcome.
About the Role
The successful candidate will work as a member of the development team assisting in equipment automation for optical glass material processing and characterization. In this position, you will have the opportunity to learn about the glass melt process, instrumentation automation, optical component testing, and more.
Requirements
- Education in photonics, physics, materials science, or electrical/optical engineering
- Experience with LabVIEW and/or any other computer-based equipment automation program
- Programming experience in LabVIEW and/or other equipment automation programming skills
- A strong background in one of the following fields: photonics, physics, materials science, electrical/optical engineering
