LabVIEW Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a LabVIEW Engineer with strong experience in Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing, LabVIEW, and National Instruments (NI) hardware to support a long-term engineering project in Irvine, California. This is a 100% onsite position and requires a US Citizen.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute HIL test frameworks for embedded systems.
• Develop automated test scripts, test cases, and test procedures using LabVIEW and NI platforms.
• Perform software verification and validation of embedded control systems.
• Integrate hardware, software, and simulation models into HIL environments.
• Analyze test results, troubleshoot issues, identify defects, and perform root-cause analysis.
• Develop test plans, procedures, reports, and requirements traceability documentation.
• Support system integration, qualification, and acceptance testing.
• Collaborate with systems, software, and hardware engineering teams.
• Support debugging and performance evaluation of embedded systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a related discipline.
• 3+ years of embedded software testing or HIL testing experience.
• Hands-on experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) test systems.
• Strong LabVIEW development experience.
• Strong experience with National Instruments (NI) hardware/platforms.
• Experience with test automation and software verification.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and technical documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Embedded C/C++ experience.
• RTOS experience.
• Requirements-based testing and traceability.
• Jira and Git.
• Experience with aerospace, defense, automotive, or other mission-critical embedded systems.
• Knowledge of MIL-STD-882E, JSSSEH, or Time Sensitive Networking (TSN).
• Experience working in regulated environments.
