About the role
We are seeking a LabVIEW Engineer with strong experience in Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing, LabVIEW, and National Instruments (NI) hardware to support a long-term engineering project in Irvine, California. This is a 100% onsite position and requires a US Citizen.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute HIL test frameworks for embedded systems.
- Develop automated test scripts, test cases, and test procedures using LabVIEW and NI platforms.
- Perform software verification and validation of embedded control systems.
- Integrate hardware, software, and simulation models into HIL environments.
- Analyze test results, troubleshoot issues, identify defects, and perform root-cause analysis.
- Develop test plans, procedures, reports, and requirements traceability documentation.
- Support system integration, qualification, and acceptance testing.
- Collaborate with systems, software, and hardware engineering teams.
- Support debugging and performance evaluation of embedded systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a related discipline.
- 3+ years of embedded software testing or HIL testing experience.
- Hands-on experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) test systems.
- Strong LabVIEW development experience.
- Strong experience with National Instruments (NI) hardware/platforms.
- Experience with test automation and software verification.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and technical documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Embedded C/C++ experience.
- RTOS experience.
- Requirements-based testing and traceability.
- Jira and Git.
- Experience with aerospace, defense, automotive, or other mission-critical embedded systems.
- Knowledge of MIL-STD-882E, JSSSEH, or Time Sensitive Networking (TSN).
- Experience working in regulated environments.
