Laborist

About the role

An OB/GYN Laborist provides comprehensive labor and delivery coverage, mentorship to residents and students, and participates in quality, safety, and research initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour laborist coverage with approximately 7 to 8 shifts per month.
• Deliver care to OB/GYN patients across multiple facilities.
• Mentor residents and medical students.
• Engage in departmental quality, safety, and research projects.
• Provide high-quality obstetric and gynecologic care.
• Support departmental initiatives to improve patient outcomes.
• Participate in educational and research efforts.
• Collaborate with a team of maternal-fetal medicine specialists and neonatologists.

Requirements

• Expertise in OB/GYN clinical care and procedures.
• Strong communication and mentorship abilities.
• Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
• Interest in academic activities, research, and teaching.
