Laborers, Truck Drivers, and Equipment Operators
About the role
Tetra Tech is adding Laborers, Truck Drivers, and Equipment Operators to their team based near Harrodsburg, KY.
Essential Job Functions
- Communicate with colleagues, site supervisor and client's site manager including all safety personnel.
- Be a team player with the ability and willingness to pitch in as needed in areas outside core responsibilities and expertise.
- Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.
- Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.
- Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Laborers
- Ability to help maneuver pipe, pumps, and hoses.
- Maintain, clean, and organize equipment and supplies.
- Perform system construction activities in a safe and proper manner.
- Perform maintenance on system components to ensure or restore proper operation and compliance.
- Install Fabric and Geogrid Materials.
- Install Pipe.
- Manually Excavate Dirt/Ash (Shovel).
Truck Drivers
- Operate an articulating dump truck, straight dump truck, or road dump truck.
Equipment Operators
- Perform construction maintenance activities in a safe and proper manner.
- Conduct site inspections and provide clear and accurate documentation.
- Maintain, clean, and organize equipment and supplies.
- Operate heavy equipment (Excavator, Bulldozer, Loader, Skidsteer).
- Perform daily checks and maintenance on equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to pass a drug screening, breath alcohol test, and physical.
- At least 1 year of applicable experience working on a construction site.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean record.
Preferred Qualifications
- OSHA HAZWOPER 40-hour training and current 8-hour refresher is preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Lift up to fifty (50) pounds on a non-consistent basis.
- Frequently lift or carry containers, poly pipe, pumps, hoses, shovel garbage and loose material, work in and around mine tailings, or loose materials to truck; which may result in twisting, pulling, pushing and bending, depending on the material and collection vehicle type.
- Sit for long durations while operating machinery.

- Expect to work up to 60+ hours per week.
- Subject to random breath alcohol and drug screenings.

Compensation
Pay commensurate with experience.
A pre-employment drug screen in compliance with federal regulations is required, along with a physical if needed.
