Laborers (multiple openings)

About the role

The Ruhlin Company is seeking to hire experienced LABORERS (specializing in concrete, drainage/pipe, demolition, grading) in Northeast Ohio and Columbus Ohio for Ruhlin's Civil Division.

Position Responsibilities

• Effectively and efficiently perform various work tasks.
• Work safely at all times.
• Interact with the Foreman frequently to receive instructions and supply requested information.
• Comply with Company health, safety and general policies and protocols.
• Aid in ensuring Company equipment is properly maintained through daily maintenance.
• Attend project and staff meetings and training as required.
• Keep Foreman informed of all issues related to safety or other workplace issues as needed.
• Perform additional assignments per Foreman's direction.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Extensive knowledge of the materials, methods, practices, regulations, machinery, tools and equipment used in area of work.
• Knowledge of applicable safety practices and procedures.

Physical Demands

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• The employee is frequently required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit.
• The employees must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.
• The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, extreme cold, and extreme heat.
• The employee is occasionally exposed to high and/or precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; and vibration.
• The noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud.
