Laborer (Union)

About the role

Lunda Construction Company, a major heavy highway, civil and industrial general contractor, seeks a Laborer (Union) to join its project sites in the Black River Falls, WI; Waukesha, WI; Hilbert, WI; and Rosemount, MN regions. This is a Union Position.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist in the assembly and disassembly of concrete formwork and falsework
• Place, consolidate, and rough finish concrete
• Operate a concrete vibrator, jack hammer, mortar mixer, concrete saw, concrete drill, and aerial lift
• Erect temporary handrails, platforms, and associated safety related structures
• Unload, handle, and stockpile material to maintain a safe and orderly job site
• Wear a half or full-face respirator for respiratory silica protection throughout the workday
• Climb forms, ladders, and traverse rough terrain
• Lift and carry up to 75lbs unassisted
• Work from elevated decks, platforms, and aerial equipment
• Work varied hours including nights, early mornings, and weekends as needed
• Perform other duties as required

Requirements

• One (1) year laborer experience preferred
• Self-motivated
• Problem solver
• Dedicated
• Strict attention to detail
• Availability for some nights and weekends
• Availability to work some overtime, as required
• Ability to work outdoors in hot and cold weather
• Team player – ability to work as a team
• Ability to pass initial and random drug tests
• Driver’s license and reliable transportation required

Pay

The expected pay range is based on Union scale for the applicable Local.

Schedule

This position may require working varied hours including nights, early mornings, and weekends as needed.
