Laborer - Streets

Primary Responsibilities

• The ability to safely utilize a wide variety of equipment and perform heavy physical duties.
• Repairing and finishing of roads, sidewalks and curbing.
• Laying asphalt.
• Snow removal.
• Collection of leaves.
• Other duties as assigned.

Typical Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• An Ohio Commercial Driver's License (Class B) and an excellent driving record.
• Prior experience driving various types of larger vehicles including pickup and dump trucks.
• An excellent physical condition to perform heavy manual labor outdoors in all climatic conditions.
• The ability to safely lift approximately 90 pounds independently.
• The ability to operate equipment including, but not limited to, snowplow, salt trucks, and related equipment.
• Availability to work third shift from 11pm to 7am.
• The ability to carry out verbal and written instructions.
• The ability to work well with others.
• To assist in all other department activities as requested including leaf collection and snow / ice removal.
• Reliable attendance required.
