Laborer (St. Paul)

Job Summary

The Dominion Generation business unit is seeking highly-motivated individuals to perform Laborer activities at the Virginia City Hybrid Energy Center (VCHEC) in Wise County, VA. VCHEC is a new state-of-the-art coal and wood waste-fired power station located in the beautiful mountains of southwest VA (near St. Paul, VA).

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

• Minimum Requirements:
  • A high school diploma or GED with 0-2 years of experience.
  • A valid State driver's license.
• Prior military experience or relevant industrial experience is preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to operate heavy equipment such as BobCats, forklifts and tractors.
• Ability to assist all departments daily in areas of physical labor duties.
• Ability to lift and carry at least 50 pounds.
• Ability to work occasional planned and emergency overtime.

Education Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED with 0-2 years of experience.
