LABORER - SR. LABORER - Janitorial & Divisional Support

The Applied Power Division strives to have functional, well-maintained, and presentable lab spaces, work spaces, breakrooms, conference rooms and restrooms. The role provides the Division with support across a range of customer service functions that directly or indirectly contribute to project success.
Responsibilities
- Operating industrial cleaning equipment, maintaining and cleaning facilities, escorting visitors throughout Division workspaces, safely handling chemical cleaning products, and performing general labor tasks
- Following procedures for the use of chemical cleaners & power equipment in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures
- Cleaning building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming carpet, steam-clean or shampoo carpets
- Occasional stripping, sealing, and polish of floors
- Independently cleaning offices, laboratories, lobbies, breakrooms, conference rooms, dusting furniture, and fixtures
- Gathering and emptying trash receptacles
- Servicing, cleaning, and supplying restrooms with soap, paper towels, and toilet paper
- Maintaining inventory of supplies and submitting purchase requisitions for the supplies and equipment required to perform cleaning and maintenance duties
- Operating cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and orbital floor scrubbers, performing visitor escorting duties, and completing other tasks as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 0-2 years: General laborer or janitorial experience
- Self-Motivated individual with strong communication skills, and the ability to multi-task
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, squat, twist, reach, pull and lift and carry objects up to 30 lbs. without assistance
- Ability to walk or stand for the duration of the work shift
- Existing security clearance is preferred but not required; must be able to obtain a security clearance
- A valid/clear driver's license is required
Special Requirements
