About the role

The Guardian Software Development team is responsible for periodic releases of the components that make up the Guardian Software Suite. They provide safety-critical engineering services for the Atlantic Test Range Guardian systems, including software engineering, independent software and system testing, system fabrication, IT support, and financial management analysis. Responsibilities include design, development, documentation, and testing of Guardian System software components, as well as site surveys, installations, customer support, and configuration management.

This position is on-site in Patuxent River, MD, and is not eligible for remote work. The hourly pay range is $21.00/hour.

Responsibilities

• Performs entry-level maintenance and repair actions on infrastructure, equipment, systems, shelters, and non-NAVFAC facilities.
• Completes tasks reviewed by more experienced/senior facilities maintenance technicians.
• Assists senior facilities maintenance technicians with diagnosing infrastructure problems.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with inventory management (tracking, monitoring, ordering products/parts, etc.).
• Ability to proactively seek out work and take direction while providing superior customer service.
• Excellent time management skills and proven dependability.
• Strong attention to detail during tasking.
• Experience working with desktop computers.
• Ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance eligibility and/or additional security access requirements as necessary for the contract.

Physical Environment and Working Conditions

• Majority of work performed in the field, on-site (not in an office).
• Occasional office work, including sitting in a cubicle or at a desk using a computer.
• May require short-distance travel to offices, conference rooms, or buildings on or near the work site.
• Rare occasions may require overnight travel.
• Requires standing, walking, and moving throughout the workday, including bending over and lifting items up to approximately 50 lbs.
