Responsibilities
- General and final cleanup
- Distribution and cleanup of power hand-tools, extension cords, generators
- Dewatering activities, set-up of water pumps and hoses
- Manual moving of formwork, lumber, rebar, and material accessories
- Hand excavation and backfill
- Hand grade sub-base
- Place vapor barrier and board insulation
- Place and tie rebar
- Placing concrete from a truck, pump, bucket, buggy, conveyor, etc.
- Rake, screed, edge, broom finish, and vibrate concrete
- Place concrete blankets
- Strip, wreck, clean, and oil formwork
- General and selective demolition of masonry, drywall, plaster, partitions, ceilings, and finishes of all types
- Use of demolition tools: jack hammer, air tools, sledge hammer, etc.
- Use of cutoff saw and cutting torch
- Other tasks as directed by supervisor
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of three years’ experience in commercial construction
- Reliable transportation
- Willingness to work within a 50-mile radius
- Ability to work in a variety of seasonal and weather conditions
