Peak Utility Infrastructure is an integrated engineering and construction company serving the Electric, Natural Gas, and Telecommunications industries. We provide a full suite of engineering, construction, operations, and maintenance services, including repair, replacement, maintenance, and installation of natural gas, telecommunications, and electric infrastructure through our operating subsidiaries: SiteWise, Kelly Cable, Riley Brothers, 5 Star Electric, Superior Hydrovac, and Superior Pipeline Services.

About the role

These crews are responsible for working in residential and commercial areas on underground utilities, collaborating with their crew to complete daily tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Assist crew leader in construction, reconstruction, and maintenance work
  • Assist equipment operators, including swamping, hand digging, and locating underground obstructions
  • Work with specialized equipment including jackhammers, rotary drills, power actuated fasteners, and other necessary tools
  • Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery, equipment, and materials
  • Work safely around backhoes, excavators, trenchers, and dump trucks
  • Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards
  • Complete duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Ability to perform heavy manual labor for extended periods, often under adverse climatic conditions
  • Ability to lift up to 80 lbs multiple times during a work shift
  • Ability to climb, dig, work in tight spaces, on uneven surfaces, walking, stooping, and kneeling
  • Ability to understand and follow specific oral and written instructions
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to pass motor vehicle and criminal background checks, and comply with drug-free workplace policy
  • English usage sufficient to keep records, place orders, and prepare simple narrative reports
  • Willingness and ability to learn additional skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent desired
  • Experience working with underground utilities desired
  • CDL A is required for this position
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
  • Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State of Residence Driver’s License within two weeks of employment

Pay

$26.00 - $30.00 per hour
