Primary Responsibilities

  • Receive verbal or written instructions from supervisors, including work orders and daily assignment documentation.
  • Execute key manufacturing support activities, including moving materials in and out of machines or workstations using cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment.
  • Distribute materials and supplies throughout the production area as required.
  • Prepare parts for welding and fabrication activities.
  • Perform simple machine setups and basic machine operations.
  • Utilize measurement tools to verify part dimensions, tolerances, and required finishes.
  • Clean parts and assemblies using hand and power tools such as grinders and wire brushes.
  • Perform general labor duties including cleaning, painting, and lubricating machines and equipment.
  • Load and unload trucks and assist with material receiving and shipping activities.
  • Accurately complete documentation to record daily time and production activities.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, including the proper use of required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as helmets, hearing protection, safety glasses, gloves, and safety-toed shoes.

Requirements

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1–2 years of experience in a general labor or manufacturing support role.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Basic familiarity with hand and power tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
  • Previous experience in a metal manufacturing environment.
  • Experience operating material handling equipment such as forklifts or overhead cranes.
  • Familiarity with basic machine operation and manufacturing processes.
