About the role

The Oak Grove Racing, Gaming & Hotel (the “Property”) is a newer facility located in Oak Grove, Kentucky, near Ft. Campbell and Clarksville, TN. The Property is 10 miles from Clarksville, TN and less than 60 miles northwest of downtown Nashville, TN.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for cleaning and maintaining landscaping work areas and other job sites as needed.
• Responsible for Grounds upkeep, including but not limited to general landscaping, such as grass cutting, weed eating, bush hogging, plantings of shrubs and trees, pulling weeds, etc.
• Ensure the safety and security of Team Members and guests.
• Facilitates, processes, and programs to effectively control and reduce lost-time injuries.
• Operates a variety of small stationary equipment such as air compressors, portable generators, concrete mixers, pumps, etc.
• Operates a variety of Heavy Equipment such as water trucks, tractors and tractor implements, skid loaders, etc.
• Operates, maintains, and makes minor repairs to a wide variety of small/large equipment, such as tractors, mowers, power saws, etc.
• Operates automotive equipment, such as pick-up trucks, small vans, or cars.
• Aids skilled mechanics in mechanical work on machinery and building trade operations.
• Builds forms or structures using bricks, concrete, and stone, and repairs the same.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Abilities

• Maintaining a professional working relationship among all personnel.
• Oral and written communication skills.
• Willingness to assume overall responsibility relative to the performance of the department.

Education and Experience

• A High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in horticulture and landscaping is preferred.
• Able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license.
• Maintain a current driver’s license.
