About the role

The Grounds Laborer position at Global Management Services, LLC (GMS) is based in Denver, CO. GMS specializes in facility operations and maintenance, including various tasks such as mowing, policing, trimming, equipment sign-out sheets, vehicle dispatches, 2404 forms, and key logs. The essential duties and responsibilities include providing guidance to laborers, interacting with customers and colleagues, performing tasks like operating vehicles and equipment safely, coordinating projects, and participating in training.

Responsibilities

  • Provides guidance to laborers, schedules, and evaluates daily work performed.
  • Interacts well with customers and fellow employees to create a good working environment.
  • Trains employees on equipment as necessary.
  • Performs a wide variety of tasks, including mowing, policing, trimming, equipment sign-out sheets, vehicle dispatches, 2404 forms, and key logs.
  • Operates vehicles and equipment safely and properly to comply with all legal and contractual requirements.
  • Performs operator maintenance and safety checks on all vehicles and equipment used.
  • Captures daily updates to the Site Supervisor.
  • Participates in functional specific training that promotes a safe work environment.

Requirements

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Experience: Five (5) years experience in grounds maintenance.
  • License: Valid Driver’s License.
  • Skills: Demonstrated qualified skills on all ground’s equipment, performs limited maintenance on vehicles and tools, operates equipment safely, maintains organizational procedures and workflows, understands customer service practices, knows data privacy and confidentiality principles, communicates effectively, manages time and prioritizes tasks, solves problems, collaborates with others, pays attention to detail.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge: Knowledge of landscaping equipment and operational requirements preferred, basic knowledge of relevant technologies or tools, knowledge of customer service practices, knowledge of data privacy and confidentiality principles, communication skills, time management and prioritization, problem-solving and critical thinking, interpersonal and teamwork skills, attention to detail.
