Laborer/Entry Level Operator

About the role

This job is a combination of manual work, equipment operation, use of computers for data entry, and general plant labor work. Responsible for the process of packaging, palletizing, wrapping, marking and loading products into railcars and trucks. Operate forklift to move packaged product, load and unload trucks, railcars, and overseas containers. Assist Control Room Operators with the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of process equipment. Perform routine equipment, process, and sample checks. Observe all safety rules and maintain good housekeeping in work areas.

Responsibilities

• Packaging, palletizing, wrapping, marking and loading products into railcars and trucks
• Operate forklift to move packaged product, load and unload trucks, railcars, and overseas containers
• Absorb and provide input to Control Room Operators regarding process equipment operation, monitoring, and maintenance
• Perform routine equipment, process, and sample checks
• Observe all safety rules and maintain good housekeeping in work areas

Requirements

• Minimum 18 yrs. of age
• High school graduate
• Able to lift 55 lbs.
• Work rotating shifts
• Capable of moving into positions with decision-making responsibility
