Job Summary
Perform a variety of manual labor tasks to assist Concrete Carpenter/Finisher. This hourly, non-exempt position will work with direct and indirect supervision.
Essential Functions
- Assist in finishing concrete to learn and develop skill.
- Assist in cutting and setting forms to learn and develop skill.
- Grade stone, compact stone and prepare for pour of concrete.
- Develop skill in using a lute.
- Complete edging and hand floating with finisher.
- Strip and clean forms.
- Saw cut concrete joints.
- Perform concrete structure work as needed.
- Responsible for safely operating company vehicle as needed.
- Ensure safe working environment.
- Exercise proper care and maintenance of company equipment.
- May operate or be trained to operate heavy equipment, such as skid steer, roller, paver, screed, etc.
- Frequently work more than 40 hours per week and non-traditional hours including night shift, Saturdays and occasionally Sundays.
- Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.
Knowledge of
- Tools, including their maintenance.
Ability to
- Learn and follow GOH Company policies and procedures.
- Learn to read grades.
- Anticipate what is needed next and have it ready.
Qualifications
- Must have own basic set of hand tools.
- Valid driver's license for the state in which you reside with acceptable driving record per company minimum standards for drivers.
- Must have basic math skills.
- Must successfully complete PennDOT Flagger Training Course.
Education
- Prefer high school diploma or equivalent.

Physical Requirements
- Constant 67-100% Ability to bend, sit, stoop, and stand for long periods of time in the outdoor weather.
- Constant 67-100% Ability to work in adverse weather conditions.
- Constant 67-100% Ability to work in a field environments, including but not limited to exposure to dust, inclement weather conditions, extreme heat and cold, noise, vibrations and a variety of petroleum products.
- Constant 67-100% Ability to wear required personal protective equipment.
- Frequent 34-66% Ability to lift 50 pounds consistently.
- Frequent 34-66% Ability to walk and work on uneven terrain.
