LABORER (CIVIL)

Typical Duties

• Work well with supervision.
• Furnish tools and materials for others in their crew.
• Work with various hand tools.
• Operate limited types of equipment.
• Thorough knowledge of roles and responsibilities of the craft being supported.
• Identify safety hazards you or other employees may be subject to and take all necessary corrective action to eliminate or minimize hazards.
• Perform all other job related duties as requested by supervision.

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience

• Must have over three (3) years of maintenance/turnaround/construction/ or mechanical experience and knowledge of basic hand tools.
• Must be able to pass Craft Helper proficiency testing at or above 70%.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug & alcohol screen and if hired, will be subject to random drug & alcohol testing during the course of employment.
• Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check.

Physical Requirements

• Stand or walk for long periods.
• Use arms and hands to reach for, handle, and manipulate objects.
• Lift and carry materials weighing 50 to 100 pounds.
• Climb up and down ladders, scaffolds, and other objects and carry tools and equipment.
• Stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
