Laborer

Major Job Responsibilities/Duties

• Operate safety equipment and use safe work habits
• Operate machinery used in the production process or assist machine operators
• Inspect materials and sort items or materials into piles or places in bins or barrels according to type, size, condition, coloring marking or other characteristics
• Load and unload items from machines, conveyors and conveyances
• Clean and lubricate equipment
• Sweeps and shovels residual waste from process
• Perform other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

• A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) or related experience.

Physical Demands

• Regularly stand and use hands to finger, handle, and feel
• Frequent reaching with hands and arms; climbing or balancing
• Occasional talking or hearing
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds

Work Environment

• Usually loud noise level in the work environment
