Laborer
About the Role
We are looking for a candidate who will consistently show integrity and collaborate with the team to provide physical labor, operate hand and power tools, and a variety of other equipment. Responsibilities include helping maintain clean and prepared sites, digging trenches, setting braces to support the sides of excavations, erecting scaffolding, and removing rubble and debris. The candidate will be readily willing to help other craft teammates and successfully perform duties as led by the Labor Foreman or R&M Manager.
Responsibilities
- Run and maintain various construction equipment, including but not limited to: pumps, compressors, generators, and other construction equipment.
- Load and unload trucks.
- Deliver materials to site storage area or other designated area.
- Keep building and/or assigned areas clean and organized to maintain safe and productive work.
- Erect and disassemble scaffolding, shoring, braces, and other temporary structures.
Requirements
- High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) preferred.
- 1 year as a Labor/Helper in the carpentry or construction field preferred.
- Comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- General knowledge of construction means, methods, materials, and equipment as necessary to assist carpenters, foremen, and R&M managers.
