Laborer
About the Role
Resolve Marine’s laborer reports to the department supervisor or to the Facility/Warehouse Manager. This position is a general labor role associated within a specific department; however, the role may be utilized in various departments at any time.
Responsibilities
- Understand procedures and correctly fuel, start up, and store all equipment.
- Inspect and maintain all lighting equipment, including:
- String lights (bulbs and cords)
- Extension cords
- Bulbs in light towers and proper procedure for replacing them
- Halogen lights and proper procedure for replacing bulbs
- Perform site maintenance, including:
- Proper storing of gear, rigging, and supplies
- Trash control, including keeping all trash and scrap metal picked up and disposed of in the correct containers
- Understand procedures and provide fire watch to assist Welders and Burners.
- Apply paint, perform sandblasting, and coatings on projects.
- Clean pumping equipment and hoses after use.
- Conduct post-project inspection of equipment for defects, tag defected equipment with red tags, and follow specified procedures for equipment defects.
- Package non-defected equipment for return to the warehouse.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- One (1) or more years of work experience in a similar capacity.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- One of the following must be provided:
- Government Issued ID
- Driver’s License
- Passport (if global deployment is required, a current passport is required)
- TWIC card or ability to obtain one.
- Training and/or certification required prior to operation of any company-owned (or leased) vehicles or equipment.
Preferred Credentials / Certifications / Skills
- Driver's License (highly preferred)
- Passport (highly preferred; if global deployment is required, a current passport is required)
- First Aid, CPR, AED certification
- OSHA 10 Hour certification
- 40 Hour HAZWOPER certification
- 8 Hour HAZWOPER certification
- Forklift Operator License
ADA Requirements
- Ability to sit or stand
- Ability to climb (stairs/ladders) or balance
- Ability to see
- Ability to walk
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Ability to taste/smell
- Ability to use hands/fingers to handle or feel
- Ability to talk/hear
- Ability to carry weight and lift up to 75 lbs.
- Exposure to work environments (outside weather, fumes, office environment, etc.)
Travel
Up to 25% travel may be required. If additional travel is required beyond the specified amount, based on operational demand, you will be notified accordingly so arrangements can be made.
