About the role

Performs indoor general labor duties to support the operations of the Warrensville Developmental Center.

Responsibilities

• Moves, organizes, and stores all incoming and outgoing furniture and equipment (e.g., washers, dryers, etc.)
• Sets up tables, chairs, and floor coverings as requested by work order
• Moves records (medical, human resources, program, etc.) to various areas as requested by work order
• Assists with housekeeping duties (e.g., sweeps, mops, dusts, waxes and strips floors, cleans windows)
• Cleans all hood filters and lights in a building on a monthly basis
• Picks up and delivers items (e.g., soiled and clean laundry, boxes, residential unit supplies)
• Drives hand truck, plow trucks, and lift gate truck
• Operates housekeeping equipment (buffer, propane buffer, vacuums, scrubbers, wet and dry vacuums, etc.)
• Assists maintenance workers on jobs as needed or requested

Requirements

• Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
• Exempt from written examination as this classification is determined to be an unskilled labor class (per Section 124.11 (B)(2) of the Revised Code)

Pay

$19.44 per hour

• Work Hours: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
